Behavioral Health
Supporting Mental and Emotional Well-Being
Behavioral Health Services provides mental health and substance use support to residents experiencing homelessness. Services are available across campus programs, including Our Place, Nevada Cares Campus, and Safe Camp, to help individuals address emotional, psychological, and behavioral health needs that impact stability and well-being.
Services are tailored to meet each resident’s needs, promoting coping skills, resilience, and improved quality of life.
How We Support Residents
Assessment and Counseling: Licensed behavioral health professionals provide evaluations, short-term therapy, and ongoing support to help residents manage mental health or substance use challenges.
Crisis Intervention: Immediate support is available for residents experiencing a behavioral health crisis, ensuring safety and stabilization while connecting them to appropriate care.
Referrals and Resource Connections: Behavioral health staff connect residents to community-based providers, psychiatric care, substance use programs, and peer support services, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care.
Support Across Campus Programs: Residents can access behavioral health services while maintaining participation in other stability-focused programs.
Helping Residents Build Resilience
Behavioral Health Services help residents not only address immediate challenges but also develop long-term coping skills and emotional strength. By integrating therapy, crisis support, and community referrals, the program empowers individuals to improve their well-being, sustain housing, and navigate life with greater confidence and independence.
