Volunteer Position: Front Desk Clerk

Position Overview

The Volunteer Front Desk Clerk supports the daily operations of the Senior Center’s front desk by providing assistance, organization, and friendly customer service. This position reports directly to the Office Supervisor and requires reliability, confidentiality, and compassion for older adults.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep the information area stocked with flyers and materials.
  • Greet seniors entering the center and check identification as required.
  • Perform basic filing and administrative duties.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly menus.
  • Support front desk staff as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of service and participant information.

  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Dependable and professional.

Requirements

  • Ability to interact positively with the public.
  • Basic computer and office skills.
  • Ability to complete required training.
