Volunteer Position: Senior Friendly Visitor Caller
Position Overview
Many seniors experience isolation and loneliness. The Senior Friendly Visitor Caller provides regular phone check-ins to help reduce isolation, depression, and anxiety while offering reassurance and support to homebound seniors.
Key Responsibilities
- Make weekly phone calls or check-ins with assigned participants.
- Provide friendly conversation, compassion, and emotional support.
- Recognize when additional support or community resources may be needed and notify staff as appropriate.
