PIT 2025
The 2025 PIT count was conducted statewide on January 22, 2025. It is conducted annually as required by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. Sheltered data is gathered through HMIS and agency submissions. Please note there was not unsheltered count in 2025.
Results
- Total sheltered people counted was 1,389
- 947 males counted (68%)
- 429 females counted (31%)
- 13 gender not singularly female or male, transgender, or questioning counted (<1%)
- 1,106 people in emergency shelter
- 283 people in transitional housing
Conclusions
- While there is a slight decrease in total number of people experiencing homelessness, the total number of people counted is very similar to last year.
- Having 90% of providers enter data into HMIS allows us to analyze community-wide trends more frequently than on annual basis.
- Emergency Shelter and Permanent Supportive Housing have higher utilization rates that Transitional Housing.
- Utilization rates have increased overall.
- If inflow continues to exceed outflow, the total number of people experiencing homelessness will continue to grow.
- Affordable Housing stock for extremely low-income populations (30% or less) must increase to see further improvements in reducting the number of people experiencing homelessness.
