Built for Zero

BUILT FOR ZERO IS A NATIONAL MOVEMENT WORKING TO END HOMELESSNESS

Built for Zero is movement of more than 85 communities across the Country working to measurably end homelessness through changing how local housing systems work to ensure an end to homelessness that lasts, and leaves no one behind.

This is an exciting project for our region.

This is a partnership between Washoe County, the City of Reno and the City of Sparks. There are 35 organizations that are part of the Built for Zero initiative in Washoe County. We have a core team, with representatives from each of the three jurisdictions and the Veterans Affairs. All team members are staff that provide homeless services in our community.

In August 2023 we completed the By-Name List. Learn more here
We are currently in the Reduce to Zero phase.
