Parks and Open Space


Welcome to Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space, part of the Community Services Department. Our mission is simple, to provide exceptional parks, open space and recreational opportunities while preserving our natural, historical and cultural resources. 

Washoe County manages over 12,000 acres including over 10,000 acres of open space, 49 parks with amenities for all ages, and diverse specialty facilities such as an arboretum and museum, golf courses, a pool and splash parks, a shooting facility, archery facility, a campground, a visitors center, dog parks, and more!

Whatever your favorite outdoor activity, you'll find the perfect spot in a Washoe County Park!
