Current Occupation:

I am an educator and a public servant. I have worked in the Washoe County School District for the last 10 years, making a difference with at risk and the most vulnerable students. In 2019, at the old Hug High School, I planned a Special Olympics basketball game that was an incredibly huge success. I wrote a press release and the media showed up and featured our students on the news, and our students in the stands were kind and respectful, just because I asked them to be.

Government Background:

I have been elected twice to represent my community on the Sun Valley General Improvement District for the last eight years, I am currently serving my second term. During my second term we refinanced our water capacity loans, saving the residents of Sun Valley over $300,000 per year. Since 2015, I have served my community as the Chair of the Sun Valley Citizen Advisory Board. My County Commissioner appointed me time and time again, and my peers continually elected me as Chair. I have spent this time working across party lines to better my community, focusing on senior citizen's needs and affordable housing for everyone.

As an elected official who has been serving her community for the last nine years I am committed to representing YOU at the Nevada State Legislature.
