Formal Education:

Additionally, I'm a graduate of the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership program, the Reno Citizen’s Institute, and obtained certification from the International Association of Facilitators.
Current Occupation:
I have owned and operated my business, Taylor Made Solutions since 2017. As a small business owner, my company specializes in developing and executing comprehensive communication and public involvement plans for significant transportation and infrastructure projects.

I possess a deep understanding of our Zoning Code, Master Plan, and entitlement process. Additionally, I've contributed to recommendations concerning Community Development Department services as a member of the Building Enterprise Funding Advisory Committee (BEFAC). Reason for seeking position:
As a native Nevadan, I am proud to call the Truckee Meadows, particularly downtown Reno in (the new) Ward 1, my home. I have a vision for our community: safe, clean and vibrant neighborhoods. As a Reno City Councilwoman, I know we have the resources, talent and expertise to create a brighter Reno. I want to continue the positive work I am doing with the Community Homeless Advisory Board, Reno Housing Authority, Building Enterprise Financial Advisory Committee, Access Advisory and Regional Planning Governing Board. I want to leave Reno better than I found it for future generations.
Having raised two daughters and established a successful small business within our community, I take pride in my collaborative approach and dedication to teamwork. I strive to serve the community through supporting the goals, vision, and mission of the City of Reno and the community.
My journey in community service commenced with the completion of the Reno Citizen’s Institute, where I gained valuable insights into our local government's intricacies. These experiences reinforced the significance of community investment.
Through my company, Taylor Made Solutions, I partnered with ACE High School to establish a scholarship, empowering local students to pursue higher education. My tenure on the Reno Planning Commission has given me a deeper understanding of the areas of our community where I can work with residents and focus my energy.
These areas include: public safety, homelessness, affordable housing, growth and fiscal responsibility, parks and recreation, public/private partnerships and revitalization. I believe that fiscal stewardship is incumbent on the Council to maintain and balance the City’s nearly $1 billion budget. All of these play an important role in our community.
As I walk door to door, engaging with voters, I want to hear both their worries and their enthusiasm for our accomplishments to better understand their concerns so that we can work together to make meaningful change.
